Negative comments for new technology

Negative Comments Come First. Ignore.

Yesterday, we came across a story where a famous critic slammed ChatGPT. ” Sentences generated with ChatGPT not only have many errors, but may also have statements that are false or even untrue.”

This is probably true.

We’ve seen it a few times too. And the critic’s final remark was, “That’s why it’s useless.”

It’s reminiscent of when the internet first emerged in the world. There were people who said things like “It sounds like a scam” and  “The information on the Internet is full of lies,” and  “That’s why you shouldn’t use the Internet.”

The same thing happened with automatic translation. Those people gave many examples of wrong translations and concluded that it was “useless.”

None of them are wrong.

There is indeed a lot of false information on the internet, there are many wrong translations in automatic translation, and there are many errors in ChatGPT.  But is it right to conclude that “that’s why it’s useless” and reject new technology?

It’s always the same.

When something new appears, there are always people who resist it.

There are many.

It is normal for negative evaluations to come first.

Let’s ignore them all.

Those who disregard such negative evaluations and try to make the best use of their benefits will ultimately succeed.
